ShareSource strives to maintain and cultivate effective, productive relationships with suppliers who provide high quality products and services to bring value to our members.
ShareSource values its relationships with its suppliers. In addition to medical, surgical, food, facilities, office, IT, pharmacy, lab and linen supplies, ShareSource encourages the introduction of innovative products and technologies, management/consulting services and presents all proposals from responsible suppliers to our member committees for consideration.
ShareSource utilizes Premier contracts through the Affiliate/Sponsor program, but also develops independent regional contracts in addition to the Premier contract portfolio.
Contract decisions are member-driven through our member advisory committee process. ShareSource staff gathers information about suppliers; products and pricing that committees require to make informed decisions. New technologies that demonstrate significant advantages over current technologies are particularly encouraged.
Contracts are awarded via the committee process based upon the committee’s overall evaluation of price, quality and additional factors.
In consideration of ShareSource’s administrative and sales development services, suppliers pay to ShareSource an administrative fee of purchases made by members of ShareSource. Fees are paid either monthly or quarterly within 30 days, accompanied by a report detailing all purchases made by the members of ShareSource by units, dollars and, if applicable, by product code.
